As I am writing this e-mail to you all, my heart is overflowing with joy as I listen to the testimonies of our brothers and sisters who are now on their way to Baguio, the last mission site. Despite all the sad/alarming news about the coup attempt & the strong typhoon (signal #4) in our country, our GREAT GOD is continually leading our team, protecting their lives wherever they go. After Calapan, our team had their rest day and then proceeded to Quezon. What a great time to see some of Kuya Freddie Camota's love ones in Mauban! There were 182 patients who were treated that day & 77 accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord & Saviour. There were some policemen who volunteered to patrol the area while they were there. (Quezon is one of those regions noted to have a lot of NPA). "It was awesome to see how God is working in the hearts of these people," according to our mission team. That very same day, our team, still in their bus which became their constant partner headed to Angeles City. As the Philippine govt. is busy negotiating with the soldiers who were plotting the coup last Saturday, our team is also very busy serving the Lord . Boldly and courageously, the team shared God's word to the 232 patients they had and 141 of them accepted Jesus Christ in their hearts. Just a couple of hours ago while they are traveling, Sally's sister, Dr. Lubugan accepted Christ in her heart. Praise the Lord for all the souls that were won for HIM! There were a lot of churches who were blest with this mission and they are all requesting to visit them again.
I am just so thrilled to listen to what our mission team members have to share when they all come back.
Thank you very much brothers and sisters for joining us in doing God's assignment!
Please pray for P. Eugene Recerone's daughter who is sick right now. Pastor Eugene traveled back to Manila early this morning. Some of our members are traveling back to NJ this week. Let's to continue to pray for all of them . Pray also that God will use the team to minister to the bible school students in Baguio Theological Seminary.
To God Be the Glory!
Your co-laborer,
Mary Jean
